When thinking of my favourite Muses record I always find it difficult to decide. Each album does something different for me, reminds me of different times of my life and brings back memories. They are like old friends that when I revisit them, its like I never stopped playing them. University was the first Muses album I owned. I remember hearing Bright Yellow Gun playing on my town college radio in New Zealand like it was a number one hit single – it was on heavy rotation for much of my 16th year. Flood was the next song I heard and has to be probably my favourite Muses song. This album reminds me of summer and the summer I had that year, the heat of the sun, the ocean and a long deserted beach where the songs are the waves crashing against each other, pulling you in then pushing you away like the tides only to pull you back in on the next track.
wow…what a lovely remembrance. New Zealand has always treated us so well…how lucky we are. xo
