I don't suppose "The Curse" is still in print. I've only been a listener for a couple of years and was probably just about able to walk and dance to the wombles LP when it came out.(That may be too much of an anglocentric comment for anybody to understand, but, anyhoo.) Is my only option to download it or is it possible to get hold of a physical copy.

Not so much The Throwing Muses Story...by The Lifetime Network.

Haha!! Billy, that was good! However, I would totally watch that and love though I know it wouldn't be to everyone's taste.

Movie sounds great, to me! I think it could turn people on to Throwing Muses and Kristin for a long time after it's been released. I recently watched "Coal Miner's Daughter" and it endeared me to Loretta Lynn.

Best of luck!!

I'd watch it. Funny, thinking about this today. I really enjoyed the trailer for the book. I enjoy watching and listen to K talk about the places. It's interesting to see the places she refers to. I think a behind the scenes documentary about touring, writing, recording and family life are always interesting. I think a lot of us appreciate the small glimpses into her world.

Either way it would be cool. Just not for me. I know many people would love it! And that's great too! To each his/her own. It is a story that deserves a wider audience. Certainly. I'm just personally not a movie/television show person. So it probably won't be something I could get into.

If it were the TM story I can't wrap my head around how they would find actors to play such crazy musicians or "freaks" if you will. (I mean that in the best way!) Like who could play like TM circa-1985? I am certain the greatness of that particular band could never be adequately captured. But if they want to just make a cool loosely-based story about a young rock & roller and her adventures that could be fun too . . .

I do hope it works out for the best. I'll never slander it.

Just talks...with a couple of different parties. Very early steps of a very long journey. But don't think terrible things about a film YET.

What if it felt more like Drugstore Cowboy or My Own Private Idaho? How about the Royal Tenenbaums?

The idea is to create a beautiful, artful film about a lost teenage girl with a lot going on who finds her way in the world. Not so much The Throwing Muses Story...by The Lifetime Network.

So, we'll see... the odds are against such a thing, but you never know.

I'll say this once and only once. I promise.

While I wish no ill feeling towards the production of such a film I will never watch it. It would ruin the story for me. Just like the Johnny Cash bio. I promised myself never to see it for the same reason. And I have not nor ever will as long as I can manage to maintain my own freewill until my death.

Well, of course you could listen to them any way you wanted. But I was puzzled that "Fall" was first released and first on the list of downloads, since they seem like they are supposed to be an accompaniment to the book. "Paradoxical Undressing" begins with Spring 1985, and that first section constantly refers to "Fish", "Call Me", "Ellen West", "Carnival Wig", "The Letter"...the songs in the "Spring" session. Not that it matters. But it would make sense to start with "Spring" if you were going to listen to them as you were reading the memoir.
