Thanks for the replies, looks like I'll be buying them as mp3s. Not sure if they'll play in the car, unless I use the iTrip

With all the noise in your car you won't hear any mp3 artifacts. If you do just pretend it was a bumpy part of the road.

WIP 1-4 are only available in mp3 because lossless audio files weren't really ubiquitous when the series first ran. They were never available on CD (aside from a one off WIP sampler disc).

You can still convert the mp3's into wav's and burn them to CD the same way you would FLACs (I actually just came across my WIP1 CD that I burned 10 years ago!). IIRC, the early WIP mp3's are only at 128k though (they may have been at 160 later on, I can't remember) which was the standard back then, but would be considered low quality nowadays. It would be nice to have FLAC's available but there probably wouldn't be much demand for them...

I never obtained the early WiP recordings, in particular 1 through to 5.
I realise that they are only available via download now, but I'd love to have them, so I went on the Kristin store to look into acquiring them.
They appear to be only available in mp3 format.
I'd prefer them in Flac so that I can burn them onto a CD that I can play on my stereo, in the car, etc.
Can they still be bought in Flac?

Help!
