So I go to Hersh-Head and find this: TRIVIA: - The Curse is compiled of live recordings made on the 8th and 9th of October 1992 at The Grand Theatre in Clapham, London. - Although Leslie Langston played bass on Red Heaven-era recordings, she was not officially back in the band. It is not known who played bass at these performances. Can we get a definitive answer on this from perhaps somebody who was on or near the stage those nights or from somebody who knows for sure? It's the exact copy that you can see on the wonderful fan site Hersh-Head.com. I've owned it for almost 20 years. The only reason I'm considering parting with it now is to fund a recording project. I am a freelance Recording Engineer / Producer and in desperate need of some Neve Preamps for clientele. It's a pretty tough industry to be in right now. It takes twice as much effort just to tread water where for half as much you used to be able to swim up stream. I'm trying not to drown here. Hence, the shameless plug. Hello! You all seem a friendly bunch. I've been a fan of Kristin's work for about eight years or so, gradually my appreciation has grown and grown over the years and last year's show at Glasgow Oran Mor (my first time seeing Kristin/Muses live) pushed her/them up even further in my estimation - an incredible gig. As a result I've been feeling a little guilty - I've realised that while I was gradually discovering her work, most of the albums I own have either been copies from friends or bought 2nd hand - rest assured I like to support the artists I feel close to and will certainly be paying for anything released from here on in, and for the parts of Kristin's back catalogue I don't own yet. As a full-time PhD student, however, I just can't stretch to a Strange Angels subscription for the time being, although I think the scheme itself is fantastic. So, after that lengthy introduction (blethering, as we call it in Scotland), can anyone tell me if there's a way to buy new releases like the new 50ft Wave ep - as a download or physical copy? Is that what the tips jar is for? Obviously as a non-subscriber I don't expect all the special stuff you Angel-types receive, but I do want to keep up with any new releases I can get hold of and do my bit to support Kristin's work in the process! Hopefully when the new Muses record appears it will be available to buy for folks like me who can't subscribe at present due to their finances...
