  1. ...are coming soon to the CASH site. Kristin's getting ready to post two pieces of the album-of-pieces, Curtains, Pt 1 / Triangle Quantico.

Because of the UK tour, they're going up a little later in the month than usual, but should be there on Monday or Tues. Just so's you know.

  2. oh god oh god oh god...

  3. i don't think i know what that project is!

  4. From http://throwingmuses.cashmusic.org/

"Swollen" is Marilyn Munster; the last "normal" Throwing Muses song. This is, of course, just a demo, but you can tell she wears trim blouses and pumps, smiles politely and probably only eats animals that don't have two heads. It appears, though, that when "Swollen" left the building, she left the door open. Her sweet shuffle and actual chorus (of all things) was followed immediately by songs made of fractured instrumentals, unattached bridges and free-floating verses who tap dance for a minute then run away, only to reappear in a different outfit, a different song, later on in the program.

    I guess that's what Billy's referring to.

  5. Yay!!!

As much as I love Crooked, I actually find myself listening to the TM "2001 Demos" tracks more often.

I'm glad that these are just fragments, because I always want Lazy Eye to go on longer than it does...

  6. ...yeah, as i listen to lazy eye as i work on my computer....i just want it to go on and on for a few more minutes....

  7. Curtains, Pt 1 / Triangle Quantico

Are these the fragments or an album title in progress?

    Just intrigued :)

  8. Those are the titles of two "married" fragments...Should be up soon. We're re-working the pages and posting some extra stuff for Strangels, too.

  9. Curtains/Triangle Quantico is incredible.

Someone needs to invent new adjectives, because I'm all out when it comes to these great new songs.

  10. Can't wait to get home to listen...

Who designs the KH & Muses CASH-pages, by the way? Dave? Jesse? Both? They're all stunning! I can almost drop my obsession with owning physical records now, when things are done this tastefully online :)

  11. Thank you Billy, gorgeous demo too!

  12. Ooh, I just imported the Apple lossless files to a folder on my iPhone and they've got beautiful artwork too!

    Thanks again

  13. Help! Where's the download link?

  14. Never mind, I found it...

I have to say, Throwing Muses is back!

I love the demos before Lazy Eye, but they seem more hopped-up K solo.

This new stuff is simply incredible! Vibrant and buzzing and immediate. Awesome!

  15. @rugan - the art is by Dave...Incredible, isn't it?

  16. Love this track. Great atmosphere. I hope the fragments stay married as they work so well together.

Quite excited about the album after this.

  17. Hadn't finished that post!

Saw that K tweeted about meeting Tanya recently, is it a bit annoying to ask if there's any chance they discussed her involvement in the new TM album?

  18. esp @ conski: ya, TM at its to me is buzzing, chasing, cycling, nervous. I don't mean that in any specific, repeat old faves kind of way. (I've mentioned two guitars before, and maybe that's been mistaken, I didn't mean anything more specific than that, I just mean it in that it helps with the chasing and the cycling :) ).

I can't wait for Dave to really get his head around this stuff. Thumping Dave, staccato Dave...
