After spending a few days with my copy of Anthology, I am extremely pleased in the remastering efforts. In many cases bands tend to over-brighten the mix and focus on raising the volume instead of the details.
I have always felt that House Tornado needed a bit of love in the sonics department and Limbo (although I love how my vinyl sounds) could bring the bass up front a bit, so I was thrilled to discover that each track seemed to be remastered with special care respecting the particular feel or vibe of the track and album.
Some of the songs are clearer, some have more kick and others, like Tar Kissers kick some major ass.
Thank you Kristin and Billy for treating these songs I love so much with such care. Now I am anxiously awaiting a CASH remastered tip jar project. I for one will gladly up my Strangels subscription to make a career wide remastered project get off the ground.
