  1. Monday night after the signing at Fopp (which is at 6pm, please come to that...) Kristin will be playing a free, live show at Round Midnight in Islington at 8pm!

  2. This is great news but alas it seems already "sold out"! After the Barbican taster I really have an appetite for more live Kristin. If anyone has a spare ticket for this could they please let me know on capomeister at gmail dot com. Thanks in advance!

  3. Just got back from the Barbican and seem to have missed out on this already. Billy, is there any chance strangels can still come if this is sold out?

  4. I've contacted most of you...but yes, if you were at the Barbican and missed your chance to reserve, then please drop me an email. You will not be punished for being at the Barbican!

For the record, we were prohibited by the Barbican from saying anything about the event until after doors opened last night. Not our choice...Thank you for your patience on that.

  5. I hope it goes well. The last train I could get back from London on that wouldn't involve me waiting in a station for several hours in the middle of the night would leave at 10pm so seems to be a non-starter :(

  6. I have one ticket that unfortunately I can no longer use, if anyone is stuck let me know.

  7. Guessing from the twitter feed that Steve Lawson helped set up the gig? He's an all-round nice guy from when we used to chat on bass playing forums years back.

  8. Hello - I'm brand new to this forum but would LOVE to get two tickets to this show tomorrow. Please if anyone stumbles across any spares then do let me know. thank you!

  9. Hi, I'm new to the forum. Was lucky enough to get tickets for the show tonight. We're travelling from outside London, so it would be really helpful to know what time the show actually starts. Don't want to miss a thing. Cheers :-)

  10. Yes, I'm coming from outside London too and was under the misguided impression that Kristin was playing at midnight (I'm easily confused), so I'm really glad I checked this thread. Knowing what time the show actually starts would be very useful for travel plans.

  11. Doesn't look like we're going to get any more info. I hope she's not on at midnight - we need to catch a tube train, so we'd miss the show. We're just going to get there for around 8pm and hope for the best.

  12. The venue closes at 11.30 on Monday nights so I think we can safely say she won't be coming on stage at midnight. Hope everyone enjoys it tonight. Very, very grateful to be going myself.

  13. 8pm...sorry...haven't had Internet...

  14. Cheers for the info! :-)
Will try to get there a little earlier then.

  15. so by any lucky chance will tickets be available on the door?!

  16. Billy, next time you are over in the UK you are more than welcome to borrow my 3G mobile internet dongle if you need more internet access. I don't use it very often so it's not likely to inconvenience me.

  17. I couldn't make this as I am a loser with a job and not enough leave to take, but thanks to Billy my daughter went.

First time she has seen K, verdict....

"Awesome. She was pretty scary at first but then she started telling funny stories and smiling. From ice cold stare to warmth in no time at all"

    Job done then.

A million thanks to Billy for sorting it out and of course K for delivering the goods (as if she wouldn't - pah!)

    Love you all.

  18. I couldn't resist jotting down the set list so, if anyone is interested, here it is:

    City of the Dead
    Mississippi Kite
    Hook in her Head
    Deep Wilson
    Speed and Sleep
    The Cuckoo
    Sunray Venus
    Pearl
    Gazebo Tree
    Sno Cat
    Me and my Charms
    Quick
    Flooding

    Encore:
    Your Dirty Answer

It was (as always) an amazing gig.

  19. Thanks for that christow, cos it's all a beautiful blur... I was wondering when you were going to post the setlist as I'm sure I saw ya scribblin just to the right of me in front of the stage...?! ;-)

Hook In Her Head & Sunray Venus really stood out for me tho on a great night...hope K's getting some rest now!

  20. It was a beautiful show. Made it worthwhile that I’d had to poke up with the FURY of my seven year old that she couldn’t come (“But you saw Kristin LAST WEEK! I’ve NEVER seen her!!!”). She only calmed down when assured that K didn’t play “Beestung” (Florrie’s “bestest song”) and that she had indeed “sung like a princess with an angry guitar”…

I waited twenty years to see Kristin play live and then was lucky enough to be at two wonderful, wonderful shows in ten days. It was worth the wait.

Thank you so much, K & B. When are you coming back???!
