How to Burn "Speedbath"

    Could somebody help me please?

Now that the 12 tracks of "Speedbath" are posted, I have tried to burn them to disc using Windows Media Player. (I have Windows XP).

WMP is not letting me do it, saying that things are missing from them or I don't have permission or something. I downloaded the "high" rather than "low" download on the CASH list in each case.

It's funny, because I put "Slippershell" onto CD when that first appeared with no problems.

    Am I doing something stupid?

Have you tried iTunes? That usually have a very direct, simple interface for turning your MP3s into a music CD.

does volume leveling actually work? even when it is checked off(the volume leveling) all the songs hit me at different levels....i guess that's why i will have to get the official release.

[url=http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html]Firstly, I must say I am no IT expert, so I am giving advice as a bit of a novice, but if I can manage it so can you!

As a regular user of 'Dimeadozen' for dowmloading I invariably end up with .flac files from that process; I then convert the files to .wav files and then use Nero to burn them to a CD that can be played on your hi-fi or in your car.

The flac converter is freely available here (I think)...
    http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html

That will give you a file version that is the same as commercially sold CDs. I'm afraid that NERO is not freely available and you will have to purchase it. But, I'm sure there are people on here who know of free software.

If you are still struggling send me a message and I'll stick a CD copy in the post.

When I have a bit more time on my hands, I'll grab the flac versions and produce a volume-leveled set for folks to download (and burn if they wish). Of course, if there's any tech-savvy folks out there with more time than me, feel free to beat me to it...

You don't need to decode flac to wav with Nero.

Just go here to get the flac plugin [url=http://neroplugins.afterdawn.com/]. You can also get shn, APE plugins also.

You then need to copy the dll file to the following folder (based on Nero 8):

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nero\AudioPlugin

Just google 'flac plugin for Nero [version]' for locations for the appropriate version of Nero as I used location for Nero 8

    Hope this helps

Restart Nero and you can then copy direct to CD in the normal manner. Repeat for other formats

I use a free program, Burrn, http://www.burrrn.net/?page_id=4 - it burns any audio format to CD without needing to convert - downloaded it for Dime's FLAC's and SHN. Very simple drag and drop interface.
For volume leveling the replay gain in Foobar works very well or just tick the replay gain box in Burrn!

Thanks for that, I think I've worked it out, but not tried it in anger as yet.
