Aha - the Lord Nelson Hotel?

Hmmm... I'll be needing a pint, not a kip :)

Getting excited about this now, will be leaving for the train in about 30 minutes.
Been a bit worried about tonight's gig (Liverpool Pops?! Bob Harris presents?!) but if it's the venue I'm thinking of yes quite intimate (rubbish beer though). Good to hear there's several people on from here attending - worried it has been poorly promoted too! Whatever the set-up, the music will be excellent!
Just sorted tickets and getting the train from manchester this afternoon, cannot wait!!!
Hey Billy
I would love to hear Delicate Cutters tonight i love that song so much, though Kristin could recite the telephone directory and it would be great :)
See you guys tonight!
Second that shout for Delicate Cutters.
I've just had a text saying the Lord Waldren is shut!!
I'm just about to set off - not a clue where I'll end up??
Just got back, major smash on Thellwall Viaduct on M6; motorway was closed!
Well we went round the houses with pubs, ended up finding real ale in The Head of Steam; met Alistair and others in The Lord Nelson - and Billy.
Kristin came on about 9:40 and played about an hour, don't ask me what she played, my mind isn't that good...
But she started with Mississippi Kite, also played Crooked, Flooding, Sunray Venus, Gazebo Tree, Snake Oil that's all I can remember - as soon as I've finished posting more will come back to me
20 years, never disappointed. Awesome. Liverpool Academy, 17 July 2010.
@tla: damn. we loved being there. you guys are wonderful...
Great gig last night. Posted video of Sno Cat from last night(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bshOEOVBV_0) and a few more to follow in next 24 hrs or so (http://www.youtube.com/user/follyofyouthuk). Checked with Billy last night this was OK too.
And Billy/anyone - pls help a set-list completist: what's the name (or working title) of the first new Muses song played mid-set last night? Kristin introduced it as being about a 'fractured mind' - included a lyric about "falling through the cracks/pavement(?)"
Cheers
"Sunray Venus" :o)
Thanks Alistair. Have listened to that demo but didn't recognise it when played last night! Clearly not listened enough...
I took down the setlist but need help. What were the two songs right after Fish?

Thanks to Kristin (and Billy, obviously) for another amazing night. My companions loved it all too. One had been to one gig before and was even more impressed this time. Another had bought Your Ghost and Strings back in the day and never realised Kristin had a career beyond that. She was blown away. Our driver for the night had only ever heard of Kristin through my ravings and ended the night buying the book and promising to buy everything he could get his hands on.
The book is BEAUTIFUL, by the way. If you haven't got a copy yet, do so now. The commentary track is particularly cool, especially since we've all had a bit of insight into the whole creative process for this album already. And £10 for this much material, combined with the free(ish) stuff that's up at CASH already is fantastic value. Tell your friends! I'm sure they'll love it as much as mine did. :-)
Kenny - I reckon it was Quick and Hysterical Bending
Here is a review and photographs from last night's show from Gig Junkie:

Mike
i might be forgetting something, but what's that "Cherry" in the setlist picture??
I wouldn't go by what's on that set list - we didn't get all of those songs, and certainly not in that order!
By the way - nice review, Vicki / evenflow!
no, i know that's not the setlist that she played, but i am intrigued by that "Cherry" title; i can identify all the rest, but not that one.
When I saw the list at the time 'Cherry' confused me - none of us who saw it came up with anything. Am wondering about the next Muses CASH track!
i guess that might be a new track then...
here's another review, by the way
