Weird as the site looks legit, but even HMV have been caught out by well packaged "Imports".

Tony, I fully agree, but I wouldn't worry about the catalog number being KC001, since this recording appears to be the very first release from a label called KittyCharmer.
Having a first release as a new label is all well and good...but who or what is KittyCharmer?
My bad: it's actually Kitten Charmer.
This is a release of one of Kristin's live sets from last year at Yoshi's SF. It's being put out by a helluva nice guy, entrepreneur and fellow KH-appreciator, Dan Poppe, who is launching a new label with this release.
Although due to promotional considerations for the book we are not able to focus too much official attention on this release (or for that matter on Crooked, even), it is sanctioned (thank you all for your concern) and kosher.
It's a nice show, in my opinion...and a pretty little package. Nice work, Dan.

For what it's worth, Kelly was in attendance at Yoshi's the night that this was recorded, and she remembers it as a very special night—Kristin relaxed, an appreciative and adoring crowd, and amazing sound. I for one can't wait to hear it...

"Cats and Mice" is indeed an authorized release of a complete and unedited solo set by Kristin, recorded amid the lush acoustics of San Francisco's fabled jazz club Yoshi's. (Late show, just FYI.) Kitten Charmer is exclusively distributed by the good people at Revolver USA/Midheaven, and their partners worldwide. There will not be an official UK release, but the price has been set "aggressively low" so that imports should not be too pricey anywhere.

Thanks to my lovely wife Lori, I was able to hear an advance of
"Cats And Mice".
This is such a wonderful recording. The vibe is so right on,
you really get a great sense of the intimacy; and the stories
she uses as intros to some of the songs are so cool. The whole
performance is just mesmerizing, I put on the cd and was pulled
into this whole other world. Before I knew it 70 minutes had gone
by and she was saying goodnight.
Will the "Cats and Mice" only be available to download from iTunes? My country doesn't have an iTunes store and even if it did, I'd still rather not get it from there.

I live in Poland, so while I would be thrilled to buy the physical CD, I'm afraid the shipping costs may be to high for my budget. I looked all around the Midheaven site, but I can't, for the life of me, find any information on shipping prices.

Is there a site that you do use for music downloads in Poland? If so, who?

I'm not that big a fan of downloads, so I don't really know what sites others use. Personally, I just google for downloads rather than stick to one site, but I've had good experiences with Bandcamp.
The problem with Amazon is that I don't have a credit card and they don't accept PayPal transfers. I'm certainly not complaining about the Midheaven price, though! And since I have a bit of money stashed away on my PayPal account, I might just get myself a very, very early birthday present ;)
