  1. I was thinking the same thing on Sunday night, jelmar - when suddenly I remembered - oh ya, this is in support of Anthology. But ya, Kristin looked pretty baffled when everyone started yelling out the names of new songs. I think she is just so nice she figures everyone wants to hear the really "classic" stuff . . . Pearl, Mania, BYG . . . so that's what she plays. She once commented though that she loves playing New York b/c people sing along to the "new" songs.

One thing I would LOVE to hear is Hook in her Head played with Dave and Bernie. She plays it solo a lot but when was the last time she played it with the Muses? I'm dying to hear that!

  2. i agree with halfbornhalfmade about the setlist, there are a few surprises which i think that make everyone happy ("Garoux des Larmes", "Mexican Women", "Colder"... i'm hoping for "Summer St." and "Fish" to make their appearance in Europe...) but there's sections that have remained the same these last years, basically because they work well and are really tight.

still, the setlists they have played so far this year are very similar to what they played two years ago when i saw them at the Primavera Sound festival, so i hope they change things a little bit more for the upcoming dates to make it a little more unexpected, since we have very few chances to see them (this is the FIRST time in their career that the will play in a venue in Bacelona, which is still so hard to believe).

'Sunray Venus', just to give a taste of what's to come, would be excellent on the setlists, i can't get enough of the videos where Bernie plays and you can hear Dave's drum parts.

  3. Silverfrown, yeah I CANNOT wait to hear Sunray Venus completed. When I heard those videos that song went from pretty cool to an f'n barn burner. Oh and Milan too.
