   Can I just say that I really would like to see as many of you as possible there at the Barnes and Noble thing on the US pub date (Aug 31)... It's the first Rat Girl event ever and I'm hoping it's huge for Kristin. She needs your support on this special day.

   When I first found out about this event I debated for a while and then decided against going, because financially and otherwise it's not a good time for me. And now I feel BAD - really bad, and it's impossible for me to go and I will be in a terrible mood all day Tuesday feeling like I let myself and Kristin down by not being there. But you will all be in my thoughts and I suppose I'll be there "in spirit". Best of luck to Kristin, I'm sure it will be awesome.

    @halfbornhalfmade - you are so off the hook...you just can't make it. that's totally cool, please don't beat yourself up about it! you come to so many things...we'll miss you but don't worry about it, ok? OK??!!?

    Any possibility of any PVD or Boston-area events? I can't make it to NYC but keep hoping (pretty please?) for something closer to home... I hope the NYC event is packed packed packed with familiar faces and new ones too...
