  1. has the problem mentioned in the "new stuff" thread been fixed with the three downloads (2 muses shows and 50 foot wave)? i haven't heard anything about it. what's going on?

    thanks.

  2. The issue's being worked on...but it's been impossible for us to reproduce at this point.

Can anyone who experiences this issue please post specifics here - i.e., OS? browser? does it always happen? same file size each time? ANY specifics info you can supply woudl help a lot.

We can't seem to make it happen over here...so we can't fix it yet.

  3. i'm using primarily internet explorer but also tried firefox with same negative result. i'm pretty sure i noticed the file size varied the few times i attempted the downloads. also, it doesn't even download as a zip file at all for me - and it comes up as being "empty."

    thanks.

  4. Thanks for the additional detail...can you tell me more? What kind of computer are you using? What OS? Is it different every time?

Also, have you tried again lately? We've received email from a few folks saying that they've tried again and it worked like a champ.

  5. An attempted download of the Cambridge files failed for me on Saturday Mar. 28 with my 2008 Dell laptop running Win-XP, Firefox 1.5 or thereabouts, thru AT&T DSL. I only got a partial file of each although I was informed the downloads were complete. When I tried to unzip I got an error message telling me the files were corrupt. I was able to get a complete TM Cambridge file on Tuesday Mar. 31 from another location (not my home network, but a very fortified and firewalled corporate network) using a pretty old Win-XP Dell desktop and Firefox 1.0.5. Have not tried to download the 50'~ file from the other location yet.

  6. i'm using a compag PC running windows vista. i tried downloading a few days ago and it didn't work. i've never had a problem downloading anything on this computer. also, i'm not sure if it's different EVERY time but i have noticed a few different file sizes during my several attempts.

    thanks.

  7. OK, thanks very much.

We've received a few more emails saying that subsequent attempts have been successful. Still not sure what we can do about it without the ability to replicate the problem.

  8. On Vista, clicking "Extract All" didn't work for me when I tried it but I figured it out.

    You can either:

    Click "extract files" instead

    or

Click on the zip folder which will open up and show another folder called "ThrowingMuses_MiddleEast_Cambridge_2009" click on that folder and the mp3 files will be there. You can click and drag the files to a non zipped folder.
