And a great big incredible thank you (!) to you, Kristin, and Mudrock, our gracious host, for allowing us into his studio... a wonderful evening. I met and talked with some great people too... thanks! The set was amazing... it's so good to hear this work in an intimate setting...
(Hey, does anyone have a set list? I'm lame and can't get all the tracks figured out...)
Hi Billy and Kristin,
Thanks again to you guys and to Mudrock for the great session and the opportunity to be there. It was amazing fun for me. It was great to talk to you all and feel like part of the family.
I would love a setlist too, if anyone can post one for us. I finally got the cd split up into individual tracks, but alas I have only a few song titles.
Robert G.
I believe the set is as follows (assuming I have the same recording you're talking about), not sure of Track 15:
01 - Jesus Called Me
02 - Lemon Tree
03 - Dusty Road
04 - Willie Moore
05 - Down In The Willow Garden
06 - Waiting For The One Train
07 - Stone In This Pond
08 - Sno Cat
09 - Banks of the Ohio
10 - City of the Dead
11 - The Cuckoo
12 - Little House
13 - Teeth
14 - Moan
15 - ???
- hans
The last one was the Latin Playboys' cover "If," which was also on the Freeloader single.
Oh, this is what I needed! Thank you Hans. And thank you too Karen (it was great to meet you at Mudrock's!)... think about MBD at the Hotel Cafe 11/26! Bye!
I had a great night, and we are already talking about doing more of these..... and someone left a hoody behind. anyone?
What a great evening; Getting to sit down at the kitchen table and talk with Kristin and a bunch of wonderful people, and then listening to a marvelous recording session. Thanks Mudrock.
A little more info about the playlist. I was sitting in the kitchen with Kristin and Billy before the show as they tried to remember what songs she was going to sing. (She said that she had brought the wrong notebook with her.) After the session, I asked her if I could have the playlist she had hastily written out. (Bodhi drew a really nice picture of a cat on the other side.) On this playlist were 16 songs, in the following order:
Moan
Dusty Road
Willie Moore
Jesus Called Me
Cuckoo
One Train
Lemon Tree
Stone In The Pond
Teeth
If
Banks Of The Ohio
Sno
Little House
Willow Garden
City / Dead
Tuesday Night
Just thought you might find this interesting.
Thanks again.
