K,

Just read your "Thank You" and it made me reflect on the year that has just passed us. So much has happened, so much has changed. Much to be thankful for, much to grieve.

I thank you and Billy for sharing your lives and music with us all, and allowing us to know you. I hope this new year is a good one for you, and that the sorrows of late leave you feeling more peace than sadness, more joy at what you've known, than what you've lost, and most of all, that you continue to share your life with us, and ours with you.

My new year's resolution, which I never make, is to become a Strange Angel. If you make your way to Minneapolis anytime this year, I look forward to seeing you.

Take care, make music, and enjoy the love of your family.

Love, Katie

Thanksgiving brings forth a sort of platform to me, one from which I reckon my past living dues, all while I look forward -in a deterministic way- to the shambles of an uncertain future.

What a ride it has been. Yesterday though I decided to do something else besides the usual thinking, so I took it upon myself to distribute happiness amongst my less fortunate folks and threw an impromptu 'performance' at the nearest shelter home. And with strapped guitar and an lil' amplifier I plugged and played.

The people was so happy. The bums, the addicts, the 'less fortunate' were so jolly, as it seemed that life with a belly-full is merrier. I played 'Shimmer' and people loved it. Even though they couldn't understand a single word (I'm from Puerto Rico) they dance to the tune and afterward told me the last song I played ('Shimmer') was very uplifting.

Thanks Kristin, you'll most definitively have a loyal ear from me for as long as I'm living, for the gift of music you share with us is truly a thing of grandeur.

Love back.
